In 2019, my son joined an MLS Academy but he had been sidelined all summer with an injury. He was frustrated that he wouldn’t reach fitness in time for the start of the season. One day he casually wondered aloud about metal shin guards. That got me thinking: why wasn’t there a training tool like that out there?

I decided to make some crude prototypes and my son started training with them. As a result, his speed, strength, and stamina all rapidly improved. It became immediately clear to us that this incredible training tool should be available to everyone!
